This event is 18 and over

Emerge is a hard rock band from Houston, TX that hit the stage in 2014. Quickly the band began to push the limits of labels and genres; hand crafting songs that forge a rollercoaster of depth, viral energy, and emotion. The sound is a unique blend of dual lead guitar harmonies, clean and crushing scream vocals, all bound by a massive bass and drum ensemble. The energy and presence of Emerge cannot be ignored. The band released an EP in mid 2015 and continues work on a full length album set to hit fans hands early 2016.

Rock/Metal from Alvin Texas

Shaving Susie formed in December 2008. Starting with two founding members: Terry Arehart and Cody Howes. While seeking out members to complete the band, Chris Cook, Rick Nugent and Derek Savoie finalized the band’s roster. Each member of the band brought their own unique style to the band. Some of Shaving Susie’s influences are Johnny Cash, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeath, Metallica, System of The Down, Pantera, Slipknot, and many more. Rather than focusing on one particular style, the band decided to merge each member’s style creating a southern swampy metal sound.
We are a solid group of seasoned musicians that have been around each other for years, but all in different bands. Once we all came together after many years, we often wonder why we didn’t do this years ago. We all work great together and everyone is dedicated to the work. We have been together as Shaving Susie for 6yrs now, and are still going strong.
Within the first couple of years we focused on writing, playing shows every weekend and recording tracks for our first CD we titled “RAZOR BURN”. And we are currently in the studio recording our second album now at Sugarhill Studios.
We have had several great shows over the years at such venues like: House of Blues, Scout Bar, Hard Rock Café, Engine Room, BFE, The Rail Club and Warehouse Live, to name a few. And have also played several music festivals such as SXSW. We have opened for many national acts such as Jackyl, Metal Church, HED PE, Filter, Saliva, Saving Able, HELLYEAH and Texas Hippie Coalition to name a few. Our music reflects a modern sound with a vintage feel.

As of January 2015, unfortunately Chris Cook and Derek Savoie had to leave the band for personal reasons. We wish them well and thank them for 6 years of service with Shaving Susie.

As of February 2015 we brought in Zakk Hart as our new Vocalist and Curtis Herrmann took over on Drums.

North TIl Dawn EP and Separate (2013)

Their self-titled EP was recorded in March of 2013 at Digital Services Recording Studio in Houston, Texas, who have been host to many Grammy winning artists such as Destiny’s Child, Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Chamillionaire. In April of 2013 the band independently released a five song EP and music video for the EP’s single, Separate. Distributed digitally worldwide, the EP became a “Best Seller” on Bandcamp.com during the week of its release.

In a music review, Examiner.com had this to say of the EP, “It's got everything real rock fans could want, from the riffs to the drums to the vocals. Make no mistake, North Til Dawn is a name that you will all know, sooner rather than later.”
Their music video for the song Separate was board-selected by Vevo (partnered with YouTube) and featured in a worldwide playlist along with rock acts Baroness, Pop Evil, Volbeat and Three Days Grace for the month of August. The video earned more than 130K views across the band’s channels in less than three days, and went on to be hosted by YouTube channel BryanStars. Label Roadrunner Records also mentions North Til Dawn in a tweet along with the video for Separate.

In November, 2013, the band became a featured artist for Houston’s local rock radio station 94.5 Texas Buzz, earning a headlining spot at a live event hosted by the station, broadcast mention and radio play of the song Separate. Previously, the band participated in a Battle of the Bands as a handpicked artist hosted by the station’s Rod Ryan show.

North Til Dawn has collected the attention of not only independent and major labels, but also management companies, producers and other industry professionals. Offers considered, including an approach by industry legend, producer and Linkin Park A&R Jeff Blue, the band has remained resolute in maintaining self-sufficiency for the time being.

The End Is Here (Current)
January 1st 2014 marked the release of their newest single, The End Is Here, distributed digitally. The single features new art, debuting the added sunrise to the existing compass rose and globe. In February the band debuted their second music video in a year, for “The End Is Here”.

The band continues to expand upon their previous success through social content updates, local performances, and personal fan interaction, earning over 10,000 likes on Facebook. North Til Dawn is currently writing a full-length album.
